UPCOMING – Forgiveness Practice: An Online Yoga Course on Forgiving

Objective:

  • to know the six directions of forgiveness in the Heart Chakra
  • To embody forgiveness in our yang and yin yoga practice
  • To awaken awareness of subconscious burdens on the heart and set strong affirmations to release them through forgiveness

What it includes

This is a 6 week series of practicing forgiveness! It is an interactive course that will ask you to address the immediate and subconscious burdens that live in the six different directions of the Heart Chakra.

The first session starts with theory, journaling and mediation. The four sessions following that will investigate six different directions for our forgiveness practice: mother, father, brother, sister, the divine and ourselves. We will end with one final session of meditation and celebration.

Like a live class you can communicate with the teacher and the other students throughout the chat room. We are here to create a supportive community! Chatting might include inquiry on poses and techniques, encouraging pick-me-ups and support with accountability. The teacher will be right there with you!

This course is for you…

…if you are ready to address burdens in your heart safely at home. Make sure you are ready to look at yourself and your burdens. Do you have a safe space at home to explore. Be responsible for your self care and make sure you are ready and supported!

…if you want to know forgiveness as a practice to embody. Yoga is about meeting your body and your breath. If you are ready to be curious and present with your body and if you are ready to listen and ask, “okay, what does my body need to feel good and healthy,” then this course is for you!

…you want to take your practice to “the next level.” A deeper practice does not always mean physically more challenging. This practice will be more emotionally and mentally challenging. So if you want to take your practice to the next level for you mind and spirit then this course is for you!

Do not do this course if…

…you are a complete beginner to yoga and meditation. Start with a beginner course first. While all levels are welcome you will want to know some yoga and have done some meditation.

you can’t commit and show up. Please read the schedule and duration of the course. This is a time sensitive course that will have an endpoint, and if you do not dedicate and commit the time and energy to the course you may create negative feelings toward yoga and that is the last thing we want!

…you are not able to hold space for big emotions. Be honest with yourself. This course is not a replacement or equivalent to counselling. If you need counselling please seek this instead!

…you’re unsure about online learning. If you don’t know if online learning is for you I suggest you try our youtube channel smaller videos before dedicated to this longer and more extensive course.

Holli’s Background

Personally I’ve had a very intimate relationship with forgiveness. At an early age I inherited ancestral trauma that required a deep soulful study into the subject of forgiveness. What is forgiveness? What does it look life? Feel like? How does it happen? Is it something that happens or something that is an ongoing practice? An unwavering need to answer these questions drove me to investigate forgiveness through various psychological theories and with my yoga practice. Out of those studies and my personal practice I developed this workshop inspired for and by the Heart Chakra. I hope it helps you feel and see forgiveness with a new light and brings you closer to freedom.
